Our Commitment

Rasterdeck is committed to making our platform accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we are actively working to improve the experience for everyone.

Current Status

Rasterdeck is currently in beta. We are building accessibility features into our platform as we develop, but we do not yet claim full compliance with any specific accessibility standard, including WCAG 2.1.

We're being honest here: we're a small team, and comprehensive accessibility work is ongoing. We'd rather tell you the truth than make promises we can't keep.

What We've Implemented

Video Player

• Closed captions and subtitles — Our video player supports caption tracks. Captions are provided by content creators and vary in availability and quality.

Platform

• Keyboard navigation — Basic keyboard navigation is supported through standard browser functionality

• Responsive design — The platform adapts to different screen sizes and devices

• High contrast elements — Our green-on-dark color scheme provides reasonable contrast for most users

What We're Working On

Our accessibility roadmap includes:

• Enhanced keyboard navigation throughout the platform

• Improved screen reader compatibility

• Focus indicator visibility improvements

• Skip navigation links

• ARIA labels and landmarks

• Accessibility testing with assistive technologies

We don't have timelines to share, but these items are on our development roadmap.

Creator Responsibility

Rasterdeck hosts content created by independent creators. Under our Terms of Service (Section 4.8), creators are responsible for ensuring their content meets applicable accessibility requirements, including:

• Providing accurate closed captions for audio content

• Providing audio descriptions where required

• Avoiding content with flashing/strobing effects that could trigger seizures without appropriate warnings

Rasterdeck does not review, edit, or guarantee the accessibility of user-generated content. If you encounter accessibility issues with specific content, we encourage you to contact the creator directly or report the issue to us.

Known Limitations

We're aware of the following limitations:

• Not all content has captions — Caption availability depends on individual creators

• Screen reader support is limited — We have not conducted comprehensive screen reader testing

• Some interactive elements may lack proper ARIA labels

• Video player controls may have limited accessibility in some assistive technology configurations
